Humble Haven Farm
Introducing-New Service
Hog butchering class.
Only 5 spots are available. First come first serve.
This 2-day class covers the process of taking a live hog from the pasture to the freezer. Humble Haven Farm is not a licensed butcher facility, but as a family we have been butchering our own hogs for almost 15 years. You will get the opportunity to observe and help with all the steps from killing to wrapping up pork loin for the freezer and use basic meat processing equipment. At HHF we pride ourselves on the quality of our hogs and this carries throughout the butcher process. We have simple sausage recipes and tips-n-tricks we will share with you.
Cost: $200 per person ($50 deposit to hold your spot)
Time: November 21st 4:30 pm to 8:00
November 22nd 8:30 am to Finish (evening)
In addition to hands-on experience we will supply you with coffee and cold drinks along with Friday supper and Saturday lunch. You are welcome to bring your favorite apron and sharp knife if you like.
As a thank you gift, for joining with us in butchering, you will also receive a package of our homemade bacon, ground pork, and Italian sausage.
Contact Neal Durfey @ 440-315-4212 to reserve your spot today.
